More Roguelike stuff Update !


Short version:

  • Weapon tweaks and janky mechanic removal (like bouncing grenades deals same damage as direct hits now);
  • NEW ITEMS! (7 new items);
  • Items no longer cost health;
  • Get an item after every single level;
  • More fluid wave system;
  • Infinite levels (if you want to);
  • Better reflections;
  • Some optimizations;
  • More graphical options (vsync, resolution, refresh rate);
  • The Fat robot now has a flamethrower.

Slightly longer version:

This update adds more rogue like elements to this game, like items !

There are 7 new items making it 10 total items in the game (powerups I guess). All of these items are stackable for maximum chaos, you can get as many damage, speed, jump upgrades as you want!

Reflections are now much better.

I revamped the combat system so it would flow much better. A new wave will start when the current threat levels drop's bellow a certain amount, meaning that you don't need to kill every single enemy before a new wave starts.

I introduced room culling because at later levels there would be around 12k batches ( more batches = more lag), so room culling significantly reduced these batches.

Also more graphical options. They are still basic, but now you can change the resolution and choose whether vsync is on or off.

Most importantly the camera movement is now smooth, it is no longer locked to 50 fps.

You can play this game infinitely now, after the final boss a purple portal will appear, simply jump into it and now you're in endless mode !
