A downloadable game for Windows
One shot - one kill. All enemies die in 1 hit, if you hit their weak point.
Steelsplitter is a wave based shooter with typical rogue-like elements such as perma death and upgrades.
There are 5 unique enemies. 3 melee 2 ranged. One of the ranged enemies is a flying one.
Upgrades
The game has 30+ upgrades, split between 3 categories:
- Common;
- Uncommon;
- Legendary.
After every wave you'll receive 3 upgrades to choose from.
Weapons
There are 4 extra weapons, not counting the base dagger. These include:
- Doom stick - used to break enemy weak point defenses;
- Runeblade - melee cleave;
- Dark Cleaver - homing axe;
- Ultra Rang - a boomerang that returns from where it was thrown, at any time it can be hit with your other weapons for an extra bounce (This is a mostly unfinished weapon).
You unlock these weapons over the course of the game, eventually acquiring all of them.
Altars
Altars allow you to get strong buffs whilst gaining some negative effects. These help you speed up the early game and add an element of strategic choice. There are 4 altars:
- Altar of Sacrifice;
- Altar of Blood;
- Altar of Durability;
- Altar of Frenzy.
Controls
in game:
WASD - Movement
Space - Jump
Left Mouse Button - basic dagger throw.
Right Mouse Button, Q, E, R - other weapons.
F - Interact with altars.
In menus:
Z, C - cycle menu left/right (if applicable).
Q - Cancel selection/go back.
E - Confirm selection.
WASD - Navigate buttons.
or you can use your mouse for menus.
The game is technically playable on controller, but I wouldn't recommend it.
Playing with keyboard and mouse is significantly better due to precision needed for aiming.

Known issues
Drones getting stuck.
So if a wave seemingly doesn't end, search for a drone stuck behind something.

Haven't you watched the video? He doesn't give a damn if the gameplay is too hard for some.
Extremely absorbing and addictive gameplay, similar to Devil Daggers but more "build"-based with perks. With a couple things ironed out, additional features and quality of life things added I could very well see this being something people wold be willing to pay for on a platform like Steam. Very neat!

great game. go to round 79. then got too greedy with kills. but maybe dont stack all enemies in the first 10 or 15 waves

what was your strategy?
One thing I like to get is lots of speed, and that one ability that gives you immunity untill you get hit once. Also get as much health as possible, homing things like the green rarity daggers are also good, also get low cooldown and stack volley upgrades because and then you can keep on chaining the shotgun and the axe, also you can get life steel things since your gonna go on a long killing spree, at the beginning of late game waves start to reveal most of their weak points before killing the so you can chain better. And also focus on killing the drones or the light bulbs first because they are the most dangerous ones.

every YouTube game developer makes their games free, heven't you heard of the legend Dani? He's basically the best youtube game developer. His game's may not be great but his video making style is just too fun to watch.(I don't care about punctuation)
I like the idea so much, idk if it's original but it is good.
anyway, this game needs a lot of things, like more upgrades or mechanics.
idk if it's me but the sword is pointless, because of it's very short range, i would like a spear instead, or like a dash-like ability.
Very good game and recommended.
PD: i don't understand the "stat" thing, like mushrooms upgrades, i really don't know what changes, or don't feel it, neither the attack speed, don't seem like a useful thing in my opinion
Propably it's to much, but a boss every 10 or 15 rounds would be awesome, with some randomness to make it fun and less repetitive
ye i kinda disagree on the sword being useless when its normal yeah but when it has the range upgrade its great it helped me in tough situation
If u guys are having a hard time to kill the drones meanwhile dodging the lightbulbs first get far away with drones 2nd (u need the axe for this) when u get close to the drones throw the axe so it kills the drones right as they open since it's heat seaking

This website is where a lot of indie developers upload their works in progress and small games. The game Raft was here on itch before it went to steam and then consoles, for example. Might even still have an early build of it on here.

optimize it
Just played the game for about 30 or so, at first it was hard but after my third run, got to about 38 (Still playing, got my game paused) it's really good, i do wanna do challenge at some point like gun only, sword only, whichever u can think of!
Love the idea, and the visuals. Although, it's really hard to hit the weakspots even when exposed. Maybe just make the colliders even bigger. Also weapon reloads are way too long, so long that I forget to even use anything but the daggers. Also, needs some kind of goal.

that was fun, i was feeling so strong with surviving the rounds that i kept jumping around and died by falling in the water
happened to me once, water should drain health slowly instead of an instakill
after saying that i kept playing until i died in 63 by being blasted to the stratosphere (it was so strong it threw me out of bounds, even the gui was shaking bc of the floating point error)

skill issue
Whenever I try to play the game. I can click the button, but I remain on the start screen. I appear to be in the game, I can walk around and hear the according audio, but I just see the starting screen :
